Top 10 World War 3 Predictions that might come True

World War I lasted from 1914 to 1918, killing over 16 million people in its wake. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria triggered it. The Allies and The Central Powers were the two opposite alliances during this period. The Allies comprised of UK, US, Japan, France etc., while The Central Powers comprised of Germany, Austria- Hungary, Bulgaria, etc. The Second World War, however, involved a majority of the world’s countries. The alliances formed were The Axis and The Allies. It lasted from 1939 to 1945 and is considered as the deadliest conflict in history because of the fatality count of more than 50 million people.

The two World Wars impacted everything from political ties, trade routes, religious ideologies to cultural inspirations. They paved the way for peace treaties, alliances and other smaller wars. But what if there were to be a Third World War? Would any of us even survive?

There are many theories and predictions associated with World War 3. Terrorism is a widely debated cause, that could lead to another World War. Reckless use of nuclear arms also figures high on the list of possible reasons. Popular theories have emerged connecting secret world organisations to a possible World War. The more humorous versions of such predictions involve reasons like legalization of marijuana, a fandom war on Tumblr and Ice Age Squirrel’s nut hunt.

Here is a list of the 10 predictions and theories that just might (or might never) come true:

1  Biological Warfare

WMDs or Weapons of Mass Destruction are used in three types of warfare: biological, nuclear and chemical. Biological Warfare, specifically, implies the use of any replicating bio agents like bacteria or viruses during or for war. They are used to temporarily incapacitate or kill living organisms. Biological weapons have been widely used through out history but never on a macro scale and magnitude.

The Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention was signed by the US, UK, USSR and other nations, to ban “development, production and stockpiling of microbes or their poisonous products except in amounts necessary for protective and peaceful research” in 1972. However, many nations still indulge in the creation, research and stocking of such weapons under the pretense of ‘experimentation’.

Biological weapons are a powerful means of warfare since they directly attack the human anatomy. Epidemics have claimed large chunks of the population in the past. An intentionally induced epidemic might be the cause or the weapon if a third World War were to happen.

2 The Middle East Conflict

The Middle East collectively refers to the nations Syria, Libya, Turkey, Palestine, Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc. The picture above best depicts the conflicts and alliances in this area. There are no permanent allies or arch enemies, it is all relative. Countries like the US, UK and Russia are also involved in this conflict in varying capacities.

This conflict, on a very basic level, is about religion, regional tensions and oil disputes. However, with the involvement of money, arms and big nations, the Middle East is a volcano waiting to burst.

Palestine and Israel are at loggerheads with each other regarding their borders and security. Their fights started in the 20th century and have never halted since. Peace treaties have paused the wars but not established any permanent solutions. Libya is stuck in its own web of multiple Civil Wars. The Syrian Conflict started in 2011 after the Arab Springs protests and has now turned into a bloody battlefield. ISIS, the Syrian Army, the American Army and even the Russian Army is involved in this dispute. A study by the Syrian Center for Policy Research released in February 2016 estimated the death toll to be 470,000, with 1.9 million wounded (reaching a total of 11.5% of the entire population either wounded or killed). It has created a situation of refugee crisis and immigration and there are no concrete policies or procedures to deal with the same.

Even the Bible predicts that World War 3 will start in the Middle East and kill almost 1/3rd of our population.

3 Taiwan’s Political Status

Taiwan has no stable political status as of today. China is trying to make it a part of the Republic of China, while it chooses to operate as a separate nation. There is no formal declaration or treaty from either side and there are continuous battles of interest. This turbulent status quo is expected to turn to unrest and lead to a possible war between the two nations.

USA will eventually intervene and with multiple nations coming to the aid of either side, the war will turn bloodier.

4 The Kashmir Dispute

India and Pakistan have been at war ever since their partition in 1947. The enmity has trickled down from politics to religion and most recently, art. With the two countries sharing a blurred border, cross border firing is frequent. India’s most recent retaliation to Pakistan’s firing was a ‘surgical strike’ to eliminate enemies on the other side of the border.

If this war were to aggravate, it will not be limited to these two nations. China clearly favors Pakistan due to their own interests and trade opportunities. USA and Russia have been ambiguous about their respective stance. They can choose to defend either side and it may lead to a disastrous war.

The armies of both the nations have silently started preparing for such a war in the near future. The Kashmir dispute is now uglier than ever.

5 East China Sea Dispute

China, Japan and South Korea are conflicted over their respective EEZs (Exclusive Economic Zones) in the East China Sea. In 1995, China discovered an undersea natural gas field in the region. This is the major cause for this dispute with each country trying to stake a claim.

If the conflict between China and Japan deepens, USA will surely lend a hand to either of the parties. Wars over natural resources are going to become more common with time. This one will send the whole of Asia Pacific into absolute chaos.

6 North Korea’s Nuclear Confrontation

North Korea is the only country to test nuclear weapons in the 21st century. There weapons and infrastructure are, however, still in a very nascent stage. It is a poor and backward country so a nuclear attack triggered by it is highly unlikely. Even if they wish to attack any country in the West, they do not have adequate equipment to execute their plan.

The real problem is North Korea’s wars with neighboring countries like South Korea and Japan. If it were to use nuclear weapons during such wars, it will cause an uproar in the Western World. Russia will not hold itself back from intervening in a nuclear weapon conflict too.

7 Cyber or Digital attack

The newest form of warfare is a Cyber or Digital attack. Wars and attacks are now literally only clicks away. Confidentiality breaches, systematic hacking, wrong commands, anything can trigger the next World War.

However, Cyber attacks have never been undertaken on a large scale. Organizations devoted to this sole purpose also shy away from macro scale attacks or collapses. There have been no major cases of such take downs.

The way Computers and Artificial Intelligence are advancing, such attacks will be foolproof because they would not be easily traceable. Any individual, group, organization or nation can be behind it. The repercussions may be as tiny as a security breach that is handled within seconds or the possible initiation of a war due to the intentional exchange of strategic information.

8 South China Sea Dispute

The South China Sea Dispute involves China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines Indonesia and Vietnam. The main disputes are related to the natural gas reserves and shipping routes. With every country trying to claim it as its own, the conflicts have deepened enough to involve other nations that are not directly associated with this matter. Multiple attempts at peace and negotiations have been made till with no decisive conclusions.

With most countries either adopting a neutral stance or siding with China, US had to intervene. The South China Sea dispute is therefore more about a China and USA war, with USA repeatedly warning China to keep global and regional peace.

9 War over Freshwater

One of the most widely supported theories is that the next World War will be fought over water. Water will very soon be the scarcest resource on the planet, with freshwater amounting to only a meager percentage of the amount of water available to us.

Many countries are already facing problems with water supply. This scarcity will only set off a war between nations dividing them over water bodies or water usage. A breakthrough research that leads to drawing of freshwater from snow capped glaciers may save us from this crisis. Although, considering the present situation of the population inflation rate, scarcity is eminent.

10 Russia v/s NATO

The most likely reason behind World War 3  would be a clash between Russia and NATO.  NATO refers to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization whose members include US, UK, France, Germany and 22 other nations. They are bound to defend a member country in the face of any external attack. A possible war between Russia and NATO would mean Russia against all the other major countries of the world: US, UK, Australia etc.

The NATO forces currently protect the Baltic region of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania from Russian invasion. Russia’s sophisticated war strategies and nuclear weapons are, though, very well prepared for any attacks or counter attacks. If it were to go all in, this could be a second Cold War equaling the magnitude of a third World War.

For those who want that extra little juicy detail, The Illuminati too aren’t spared from World War related predictions.

Albert Pike, a top Illuminati Grand Wizard, used to openly claim that Illuminati will lead Islam into a clash with the West. It is documented that he once wrote a letter to a friend in 1871 outlining the details of World War 3. According to him, ‘Islam will be the central factor in the downfall of the West.’
